Bring to a boil. Boil one minute and then cool. Grandma added powdered sugar if it wasn't the right consistency.

I added a picture of Grandma's comments in her favorite cookbook. She taught her students cursive using Laura Ingalls Wilder books. She would write a paragraph on the chalkboard with her beautiful penmanship and the students copied it. When they completed so many chapters she would give them a Breyer model deer. They could earn the fawn, doe, and buck. I always admired her beautiful handwriting.
