Pitted dates
Goat cheese
Chopped pecans or walnuts

Slice dates in half lengthwise; using a small spoon, fill date halves with goat cheese; top with chopped pecans or walnuts.

I never knew I like dates until I tried these.

Very messy when assembling (due to the stickiness of the dates), but worth it!

These can be made ahead of time and refrigerated in an airtight container. Sit out for them to reach room temperature before serving.

Some people use honey goat cheese or drizzle honey on top, which sounds delish, but they are sweet enough for my taste without it.
