Raw vegetable scraps
Water
Desired seasonings (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
For homemade vegetable broth, keep all raw vegetable scraps in a gallon-size storage bag in the freezer. When the bag is full, boil in a large stockpot with water for a couple hours. Let sit until cool to allow it to further steep. Strain and use in your favorite recipes in place of water or as a delicious soup base.

You'll never have to buy vegetable broth again!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:

Leftover broth freezes well in airtight containers.

Sometimes I add a few bay leaves and minced garlic before boiling to jazz it up, but it's good without it, too.

I keep a bag in the freezer and add scraps over time as I cook.

I imagine you could do the same thing with chicken or beef, but have not tried it.

When I am low on time, I use an Instant Pot - works great!

For a hands-off method, use a crockpot and let it do it's thing all day.
