Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 Slices of bacon
1/4 C. of water
2 Tbsp white sugar
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp minced garlic
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp seasoning salt
1 head of cabbage, large, cut into small wedges
1 lb. Polish Kielbasa

Optional:
3-4 medium potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces

Directions:
Directions:
In a large skillet, fry bacon over medium heat until browned. Remove bacon from pan, reserving drippings, and place on paper towels.

Stir water, sugar, onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, and seasoned salt into drippings. Add cabbage and stir gently. Cover and cook over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes.

While the cabbage is cooking, slice the kielbasa into bite-sized pieces and pan fry until browned on both sides. Also boil potatoes until slightly softened, about 3-5 minutes.

Add kielbasa (and potatoes, if using) to the cabbage, cover and cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. Crumble bacon over top and serve hot.

Personal Notes:
This was a recent discovery of ours and we make it about twice a month or more during the colder months. The sugar may seem a bit strange but it really gives it a little extra!
