Grandma Gladys' Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

1/2 recipe traditional sweet roll dough
2 TBSP butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
sweet icing


SWEET ICING:
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 TBSP milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Roll dough into a rectangle 15 by 9 inches; spread with lots of butter.

2. Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the rectangle. Roll up, beginning at the wide side. Pinch edge of dough into roll to seal well.

3. Cut roll into 15 slices. Place slightly apart in greased baking pan (13 by 9 by 2 inches) or in greased muffin cups. Let rise until double.

4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 375º.

5. While warm, frost rolls with icing. For icing, mix all ingredients until smooth.

You can add a 1/2 tsp of jelly on top of each roll before baking or add raisins or nuts onto the dough before rolling.
