3 big russet potatoes
Salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º F. Grease a 9 x 13 pan. Peel and slice 3 large russet potatoes. Place the sliced potatoes in the pan and salt and pepper the potatoes. In a pan melt the butter and then stir in the flour and cook until well combined. Add the milk and stir until the lumps are out and it thickens. Slice the Velveeta in small chunks and add to the milk mixture. Stir on low heat until cheese is melted. Pour the cheese sauce over the potatoes. Cover the potatoes with foil and bake for an hour. Use a fork to test to see if the potatoes are done. If they are done, remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When I was a young girl, I asked my mother for the recipe for her Augraten potatoes. She said well I add a little of this and a little of that. That did not work for me so after watching her make them this is the recipe that I came up with.
