¼ cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
½ cup Butter
1 Egg Yolk, slightly beaten
1 cup Flour
Pinch of Salt
1 Egg White, slightly beaten
Walnuts or Pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together brown sugar and butter, add egg yolk and salt. form into small balls.
Dip balls into egg whites then into finely chopped walnuts or pecans. Place on cookie sheet. Make a dent with thimble or forefinger in the top of each ball.

Bake 350º oven for 5 minutes

Take cookie sheet out of oven and press the dent once again to make it deeper and continue baking for 10 - 15 minutes longer.

Fill small holes with jam as soon as cookie comes from the oven.
