1¼ cup Water, boiling
1 cup Quaker Oats, uncooked
½ cup Butter, softened
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Eggs
1⅓ cups Flour
1 tsp Soda
½ tsp Salt
¾ tsp Cinnamon
¼ tsp Nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oats, cover and let sit for 20 minutes. Beat butter until creamy, gradually add sugars, beating until fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Add oats mixture, mix well. Stir together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture mixing well. Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 9 inch square cake pan.

Bake for 50 - 55 minutes
Do not remove from pan.
Frost with Lazy Daisy Frosting.


LAZY DAISY FROSTING

¼ cup Butter, melted
½ cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
3 tsp Cream
½ cup Nits, chopped
¾ cup Coconut, shredded or flaked

Mix ingredients together. Spread evenly over cake
Broil frosting until it becomes bubbly.
Serve hot or cold.
