1⅓ cup brown sugar
½ cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon soda mixed with
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1½ to 2 cups diced rhubarb
½ teaspoon salt

Directions:

Pour into 9 X 13 pan

Topping:

½ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix together and sprinkle on batter
Bake at 350º degree for about 45 minutes.
