1 cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
2 Tablespoons hot water
½ cup nuts
2 cups raw diced apples

Bake in greased pie tin at 350º degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
