Thoroughly cream ingredients
1/4 c shortening

1 c sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Add 2 egg then Beat until light and fluffy.

Sift together
2 1/2 c flour

1/2 tsp salt

2 1/2 t Baking Soda

Blend into creamed mixture

Divide dough in 1/2. Wrap in wax paper and chill for 1 hour. On a lightly floured surface, roll to 1/8" thick.

Cut desired shapes.

Bake at 375º on greased cookie sheet or parchment paper for 10 minutes

Cool slightly before removing from pan
