Cake:
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1tsp cocoa
3/4 cup oil (crisco)
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 oz red food colouring
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla
Drizzle:
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup. White sugar

Frosting:
1 8 oz package cream cheese
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 cup coconut if desired
5 drops red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa in bowl, set aside
In another bowl cream oil and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, mix. Add food coloring. Mix together well.
Combine buttermilk and soda together mixing well. Add to oil sugar mixture alternately with dry ingredients
Add vinegar and vanilla.
Mix well, spoon into 2 greased round pans.
Cook for 25-30 minutes
Drizzle:
Combine milk and 1/2 cup sugar, bring to a boil. Spoon over warm cakes.
Cool and frost.

Combine cream cheese, butter and vanilla in mixing bowl. Beat until smooth. Gradually add sugar while beating. Add 3/4 cup coconut, mix well, spread on cakes.
Add food coloring to remaining coconut and sprinkle on cake or Color the icing red

For richer taste use buttermilk instead of milk for drizzle
Use heart shaped pans for valentines day
