"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar (I use natural cane sugar)
½ cup milk (I use almond milk or another plant-based milk)
1 tsp vanilla extract
¾ oz peanut butter

Directions:
Directions:
Butter an 8x8" baking dish or similar size dish. Have all ingredients measured out before starting. You will be stirring constantly once you start.

In a saucepan over Medium heat, bring the sugar and milk to a boil, stirring constantly. Once it's bubbling over, boil for EXACTLY 2½ minutes. (Set a timer.)

Remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract. Then, stir in peanut butter. Blend well, but quickly, until smooth.

Pour into the buttered dish and smooth out. Cool, then cut into pieces.

These are too good not to share the extra calories. Enjoy!
