10-12 cps of flour
7 eggs
1 cp milk
1 cp water
1 1/2 cp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 cp shortening
3 pkgs yeast
1 cp warm water and 2 tsp sugar
1 pkg blonde raisins
2 viles saffron( dissolve in a bit of boiling water and strain for colored water)

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and add 1 cp water and sugar, salt and shortening. Beat eggs well and add to milk mixture. Dissolve yeast in warm water and tbsp of sugar and let stand for 10 min to foam.
Add to milk mixture
Add liquid to flour and knead. Start with 10 cups and add more to right consistency. Should be soft and not tough. Do not over knead. Add remaining raisings and knead well.
Let rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs.
Shape into loaves and let rise 1 - 1 1/2 hrs .
Bake at 350 for 45 min or brown,
