3 celery ribs; sliced
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 can (14.5 oz.) sliced potatoes, drained
1 can (14.5 oz.) sliced carrots, drained
3 cans (6.5 oz. each) chopped clams
2 c. reduced-sodium tomato juice
1½ c. water
1/2 tomato puree
1 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
1½ tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
2 whole black peppercorns

In a 3-qt. slow cooker; combine all the ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or until vegetables are tender. Discard bay leaf and peppercorns.
