1 loaf supermarket Challah bread cut in 1 inch slices
3 c. whole milk
3 eggs
3 T. sugar
1/2 t. salt

Your choice of flavorings: 3 T. Bailey's and 3 T. Cointreau or
6 T. of a combination, could include hazelnut, raspberry, black currant, or Grand Marnier or just a teaspoon of vanilla or almond extract can do the trick. You can bump up the citrus flavor with a teaspoon of zest. Can add 1/2 c. chopped or slivered nuts or dried fruit.

Generously grease a 9x13 with butter. Arrange bread in two tightly packed layers in the pan. Can cut up one slice in smaller pieces to fill in gaps. Whisk milk, eggs, sugar, salt and booze and pour over the bread. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 425º for 30 minutes or until golden. Serves 6-8. Serve with syrup, and or fresh fruit.
