Ingredients:
1¼ cups sugar
1¼ cups firmly packed brown sugar
1½ cups margarine or butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs (I let these get to room temperature)
4¼ cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
½ Teaspoon salt
teaspoon salt
1 to 2 (12-oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375ºF. In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar and margarine; beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs; blend well. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 375ºF for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool one minute; remove from cookie sheets.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
You can use butterscotch, peanut butter, white vanilla or mint chocolate chips instead of semi sweet chocolate chips.

After adding the chocolate chips, you can freeze the dough for up to two months if wrapped tightly. To bake, thaw dough at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours. Bake as directed above.

Be careful not to overbake them.
