Linda's homemade pizza

Pizza Dough: Ingredients:

2 cups hot water(100--110 degrees F")

2 T. sugar, 2 pkgs. dry yeast

5 to 6 cups all-purpose flour


Marinara Sauce:1 large can (28 oz.) plum tomatoes, 1 T. olive oil, 1tsp.salt.

Pizza dough:
Add yeast and sugar to hot water, stir. Wait five minutes for mixture to foam up.
(This indicates yeast is active.) Stir in salt, and 2 cups of the flour, mix.
Gradually add more flour until you have a stiff dough.
Knead on a floured board until smooth and elastic. Place dough in a large
oiled bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 and 1/2 hours'

Marinara sauce:
Heat oil and garlic in a large pot to release flavor. Do not brown.
Cut up or break up tomatoes, add to pot. Simmer to desired thickness,
about 20 to 30 minutes.

Add oil to pizza pans, spread dough in pan, spread sauce on dough. sprinkle on salt
pepper,grated cheese, olive oil. Add additional toppings as desired. Bake at 375
20-30- minutes until done. Check bottom crust for doneness.
