3 cups cubed apples, peeled or not
1 cup finely chopped celery
1 cups seedless red grapes halved
1 cup mayo
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
3 tablespoons apple juice
1/4 teaspoon celery seed

Directions:

Sprinkle lemon juice on cubed apples so that they don’t discolor. Add mayo and mix everything together except nuts, add those right before serving

This one is my own, there are many different kinds all called Waldorf. This is not one you can make way ahead, it’s best when served the same day. I made a big bowl of it for this past Thanksgiving and forgot to put it out. If you’re ever serving a big meal, be sure to make a list of all your dishes so that you don’t miss one. I used Granny Smith apples once but found them too tart. 12/05/05
