Personal Notes:
This came from a paper cookbook I bought at the Oldham County Extension Homemakers 6th. Annual Taster’s Bee (1993). I first made a double recipe for Kate and Colleen’s High School Graduation party at Aunt Susan’s house. I bought a deep crystal bowl and platter with raised flowers at Kohl’s to serve it in. This was way before we got into the buy and sell business, I probably have a hundred crystal bowls today. I didn’t come across the recipe again until Christmas 2004 and I made it for our Christmas Eve party. Uncle Mike liked it a lot.
