1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 TBSP water
1/2 cup crushed pecans (if desired)
1 egg, beaten
1 TSP vanilla extract
Crust:
1 1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup granulated white sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*F and get out muffin tin for 12 tarts.
2. Filling: In a medium bowl, mix brown sugar, butter, and water. Stir until smooth.
3. Add in egg and vanilla. Mix until smooth and set aside.
4. Crust: In a large bowl, mix flour, white sugar, egg, and butter until dough forms.
5. Place dough on floured surface, roll out and cut to 3-inch circles or separate all dough into equal sized balls and roll out each individually on floured surface. Approximately 12 tart shells.
6. Press dough circles into muffin tins.
7. Equally distribute pecans and filling into all the tarts.
8. Bake 18 minutes.
