8/10 Rooster Potatoes(other varieties will do)
2x Small Onions- peeled and sliced
150ml Milk
150ml Cream
Good grinding of Black Pepper and Salt for flavouring
1x Medium Sized Oven Proof Dish - BUTTERED
Recipe serves 4/5 persons (allow 2 potatoes per person)

Directions:
Peel and then boil your potatoes until just cooked and still firm, holding their shape.

Allow them to cool enough that they can be handled.

Slice at least half of your potatoes and place in your oven proof dish, greased with butter.

Then add your sliced onions, spread evenly over the top. Then add the second half of your sliced potatoes over the onions, spread evenly.

Add a good grinding of black pepper and salt for flavouring.

Mix your cream and milk together and then pour over your potatoes until you can see it coming up at the edges of your oven dish.

Cooking Times....
Fan/Gas Oven - pre heat your oven 200C/Gas Mk6 - cook for 30 minutes then reduce the temperature to 180C/Gas Mk4 and cook for a further 40/45 minutes
