2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 soften butter

Mix until crumbs remove 1 cup crumb mixture for topping

2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 package mini choc chips
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Powdered Sugar

Directions:

Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla to remaining crumb mixture. Add Cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves. Mix in 3/4 bag of mini choc. chips

Grease & flour 9 x 13 pan.

Pour batter into pan.

Sprinkle remaining mini choc chips on top.

Sprinkle remaining crumb topping over to top

Bake 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until center is done.

After cooled - sprinkle top with powdered sugar

This recipe is from your Great, Great Grandma Reimnitz. Your grandpa's grandma on his mom's side. I have fragments of memories of being at her house but that's it.
This is more like a coffee cake recipe. Every family gathering we had with my grandpa Otto & grandma Dorothy Stahl, on of grandma's 12 siblings some one would always bring this. Even and church potlucks. I think it's a German go to recipe.
