8 thick slices bacon
2 large cans beans
3 T. bacon grease
3 T. brown sugar
1 c. Bull's Eye BBQ Sauce (original)
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper (or to taste)

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon and crumble bacon into beans.

Add chopped bell pepper to bacon grease and sauté until somewhat tender.

Add 3 T. grease and bell pepper to beans.

Add brown sugar and Bull's Eye sauce.

Bake uncovered at 375º for 45 minutes.

Johnette made this recipe for Memorial Day "dinner on the grounds" one year. That's when I discovered that I DO actually like baked beans. She was kind enough to mail the recipe to me. Since it's one of Ray's favorites, I usually make hamburgers and these baked beans for his birthday.
