Boil one chicken, then take off the meat.

In the remaining broth, cook
2-3 potatoes (cubed)
1/2 c. rice
1 c. spaghetti
1 c. cream style corn
1-2 c. tomatoes
1 medium onion (chopped).

Season with salt, black pepper, 1 jalapeno pepper (optional), and tabasco.

Serve with crackers.

This backwoods classic stew makes "a little bit go a long way." I remember Aunt Effie Dale Toms making mulligan with squirrel meat, but I prefer Mother's version. Never developed a taste for buckshot!
