Meat balls:
1/2 lb ground meat
1/2 lb spiced sausage meat (i use Owens regular)
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs (you can use GF also!)
1 slightly beaten egg
(I double all of these because meat often comes in 1 lb packages and believe me, you will want the double recipe.. freeze 1/2). but DON"T double the sauce... keep this just the one recipe or it makes way too much sauce.)

The Sauce:
1/2 jar currant jelly (i use grape if i cant find currant)
1/2 cup catsup, 1/2 cup chilli sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp soy sauce

shape first 4 ingredients into balls. (I use a scooper tool and then quickly form by hand. I do smaller balls if they are for appetizers and larger if for main dish).
Brown the balls on all sides.

Combine the sauce ingredients and heat in microwave or a sauce pan until all mixed.
Add to the meatballs and simmer 30 min.

Enjoy! but if we have a meat ball contest..... these are MINE!
Also... make the meat balls but instead of the sweet sauce, use RAOS marinara sauce and this recipe makes for a fabulous Italian meatball dish.
