2 c. sugar
1 small can of Pet milk (5 oz.)
dash of salt
1/2 stick butter
2 c. pecan halves

1 tsp. vanilla (added after cooking)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the sugar, Pet milk, salt, butter, and pecans in a boiler. Cook on medium heat until it begins to boil, then cook it for 10 minutes BY THE CLOCK. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Sir well. Drop immediately on waxed paper.

Note: When the candies look like a sandbox, add a splash of milk and stir until the right consistency again.
