1 lg. box instant vanilla pudding mix
2 c. milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
8-oz carton of Cool Whip
vanilla wafers
ripe bananas

Mix together pudding mix and milk. Add condensed milk and Cool Whip. Layer in a bowl with vanilla wafers and sliced bananas:

We often take this to friends who are ailing. One friend's husband pronounced that it was the BEST banana pudding he'd ever had, then saw the look on his wife's face and quickly retracted.

Sarah's secret is to slice the bananas almost transparently thin, and to layer pudding on both side of the cookies. Let it sit overnight, and it all melds together. Yummy!
