Personal Notes:
Remember Eric Linn? He was Steve's Formorsan (not Tawiwanese) friend from college, whom Steve invited to spend Christmas vacation with our family. At first dismayed at having an extra person at our family Christmas, Mother soon got excited to learn about Eric's culture. Not so much Daddy, though, who thought Eric might be a "radical" and resented that Eric carved his name into the mimosa tree.

This is one of 2 recipes from the Formosan meal that Eric cooked for our family. We've never actually cooked it, but it marks an interesting chapter in our family history.
