2 1/2T. flour
3/4c. sugar
1/3 tsp. salt
1 T. butter
2 eggs, separated
1 c. whole milk
grated lemon peel
1/4c. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar and salt with softened butter. Add egg yolks, milk, lemon peel and juice. Stir. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into casserole and place dish in a larger pan of water. Bake about 35 minutes at 350 degrees. This dessert will form a delicate cake like layer on top with lemon custard sauce on the bottom. Serve warm or chilled.
