2 baked pie crusts

Custard:
6 egg yolks
2 c. sugar
2 pinches salt
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. lemon juice
3 1/2 c. water

Meringue:
6 egg whites (at room temp)
12 T. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Custard: Place egg yolks in boiler and beat. Stir in 2 c. sugar, 2 pinches salt, 3/4 c. flour, beating as you go. Mix in 1/2 c. lemon juice and 3 1/2 c. water. Cook over medium heat, stirring till thick. "When it starts to boil, it's as thick as it's going to get."

Meringue: Beat egg whites till frothy. Gradually beat in sugar 2 T. at a time until the meringue forms peaks. Spread over the pies and bake to a golden brown in hot oven.
