Directions:
Slice potatoes lengthwise in 1/4" slices. Bring to boil with salt, sugar, and butter; boil until almost tender. Line side of pan with crust, and roll out dough for dumplings. Arrange ingredients in bottom of pan in layers: potatoes -- sugar-- dumplings -- potatoes -- sugar (if necessary) -- butter -- orange peel. Add juice. Roll top crust and place on top, pinching edges together. Cut hole in center of crust. Bake till crust is brown at 450º. Add more water if necessary to keep cobbler from becoming too dry.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Mammaw is the only one I've ever known who made this particular dessert. We considered it a special treat! I've cooked it maybe once or twice, but right now it's making my mouth water and I'm thinking about giving it another go.
