1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 t. almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
sprinkles for decorating

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In mixing bowl cream
butter; gradually add sugar and beat until light and
fluffy.
Beat in egg and extract. Gradually blend in flour. Chill
dough. Roll out on lightly floured surface to 1/8 in.
thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Place on baking
sheets and bake 8-12 minutes. Remove immediately to
rack to cool. Decorate with confection frosting and
sprinkles.

Drop cookies can be made by stirring 1 c. cut up
gumdrops (omit licorice) and 1 c. flaked coconut into
basic recipe.
