2 lbs. ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1½ green peppers, chopped
1 clove minced garlic
28 oz. can diced tomatoes
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1½ lbs. shredded cheese (American or mild Cheddar)
6 oz. package egg noodles, cooked according to package instructions and drained


8 oz. can sliced black olives - omit if you don't like
8 oz. can mushrooms, drained - omit if you don't like

Sauté onion, green pepper and minced garlic for 5-10 minutes or until softened. Brown ground beef, drain and add to onion, green pepper and garlic mixture. Add tomato sauce and simmer 20-30 minutes. Add half of cheese and black olives and mushrooms (if you're using them). Put in 9x13" glass baking dish and top with prepared noodles, remaining cheese and a few of the sliced black olives if you wish.

Bake @ 350º for 30 mins.
