2 c. flour
¼ tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg beaten
1 tsp. baking powder
½ c. melted butter

1 – 540ml tin crushed pineapple
2 tbsp. cornstarch
½ c white sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix 1st 6 ingredients together well and pat 2/3 of the mixture in a greased and floured 9 x 9” pan, prebake for 5 minutes.

Make Filling

Place the remaining ingredients in a saucepan

Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add 1 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp vanilla. Mix well and cool for about 5 minutes. Pour over the crumb base and top with the remaining crumbs, bake for 30 – 35 minutes until the top is golden brown.
