3 ½ cups flour, sifted
1 tsp salt
5 ½ tsp baking powder
4 eggs
⅔ cup shortening
¾ cup walnuts/pecans
¾ cup raisins
1 cup dates, chopped and floured
2 cups mashed bananas
1 ⅓ cup sugar
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º
Cream shortening till fluffy, add sugar, beat till fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add dry ingredients and bananas.
Add nuts, raisins and dates.
Put in loaf pan.
Bake 60-70 minutes, or until dark brown.

I have never made this, but this is one of the recipes I captured for banana bread and my paper was ready to fall apart, so thought I would share, just in case someone would like to try it.
