- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cream
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz. baby bella mushrooms, minced
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 tsp basil
- mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed

1. Preheat over to 400º

2. Mix first 6 ingredients together and set aside (eggs, ground beef, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt and cream).

3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter and add minced onions and mushrooms. cook on medium-high heat until mushrooms sweat and onions are translucent.

4. Turn heat down and add garlic, red wine and basil.

5. Increase heat again and continue to cook until liquid reduces. Remove from heat and cool.

6. Lightly grease a baking pan.

7. On a lightly floured surface, lay out pastry sheets and cut each one into 4 squares.

8. Spread mushroom mixture across each square and top with mozzarella cheese.

9. Put 1/2 cup of meat mixture on top, flatten.

10. Pull corners of pastry square up and pinch together.

11. Put bundles on cookie sheet, seam side down, cut small slits on top and brush with cream or beaten egg.

12. Bake for 30-40 minutes, at 400, until golden brown and meat is cooked through.

13. Serve with brown gravy,

These were a huge hit. Even for those who do not like mushrooms! The recipe seems much more complex than it is - these were incredibly easy to make and came out so fancy!
