2 ˝ cups all purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
˝ tsp salt
˝ tsp baking soda
1 cup lard
1 egg
1 tbsp almond extract


Topping:
Almonds
Egg White Wash™

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325F.
2. Sift flour, sugar, baking soda and salt
3. Cut in lard until mixture resembled breadcrumbs then add egg and almond extract
4. Roll dough into 1" balls and set them 2" a part on a parchment-lined baking tray.
5. Place and almond on top of each cookie and press down to flattened slightly. Brush with egg white.
6. Bake cookies for 15 to 18 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
