46 oz. jar of whole pickles
¾ cup of white vinegar
3 cups of white sugar

Empty bottle of pickles into pan of cold water. Rinse well to remove dill weed and spices. Rinse jar, too. Divide pickles in 3 piles. Slice 1 pile in ½" slices. Return to jar. Pour 1 cup of sugar over top , then ¼ cup of vinegar. Repeat 2 more times. Shake until sugar is dissolved. Shaking and rest for couple of hours. Every 15 minutes. Refrigerate for 4 days. Yummy! ( One time I tried using a different type of sweetener. It did not dissolve.)
