½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 quart heavy cream
1 quart whole milk

Mix with mixer and add to ice cream freezer and freeze until done.

I halve this recipe and use my kitchen aide mixer ice cream freezer. I also use all cream (when I have it) and no milk.
