4 cups sliced tart apples
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp flour
dash of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon OR 1 tsp. apple pie spice
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup oatmeal
1/3 cup butter, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Combine apples, granulated sugar, 2 tbsp. flour, a dash of salt and cinnamon. Pile evenly in a fairly deep, square baking pan or dish. Combine remaining ingredients and crumble over top of apples. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes, or until apples are tender and topping is browned. If topping browns too much before the apples are done, cover pan with a sheet of foil. Serve apple crisp warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!
