1 cup self-rising flour
1 T. sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups fresh corn cut from the cob or whole kernel canned corn, well drained
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Hot vegetable oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; mix well, and set aside.

Combine eggs, corn, milk, and 2 teaspoons vegetable oil; mix well.

Stir corn mixture into dry ingredients.

Drop mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls into hot oil and fry until golden.
