2T Shortening
3 T sugar
1 egg
¾ c Milk
1 c Bran Flake cereal
1 c sifted flour
½ t salt
2t baking powder
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and beat well
Stir in milk, then bran flakes
Add flour sifted w salt and baking powder
Stir until just moistened (do not beat, gently stir until all is moistened)

Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full and bake in hot oven (425 degrees) 20 – 25 min

Makes 1 dozen muffins
