2 cups water
2 bananas, mashed
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
4½ cups whole wheat flour or ground old-fashioned oats
1 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Lightly grease 2 large baking sheets.
Combine water, bananas, honey, vanilla and egg.
Stir in flour and baking powder. Mix well for 1-2 minutes.
Turn dough onto floured surface and knead until no longer sticky, 5-8 minutes.
Roll out dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut into favorite shapes.
Bake until cookies are light browned, about 20 minutes.
Turn off the oven and leave cookies until thoroughly dry and crisp, 30-40 more minutes.
Remove from oven and allow cookies to cool on pans for 10 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to completely cool.
