Chuck Roast
Carrots peeled and cut
Potatoes peeled and cut
Onions quartered
Celery cut up
2 cups water
1 pkg Lipton beefy onion
1 pkg beef demi glacé reduction
A good pour of red wine

Directions:
Directions:
Put a generous dollop of crisco in a skillet (preferably cast iron) or an electric skillet set on high.

Brown roast and set aside. Place vegetables in the skillet and brown lightly. Place roast in a roaster or Dutch oven. Add vegetables.

Mix water, glacé, wine and soup mix. Pour over meat and vegetables. Cover and roast at 275 for 3 hours for a 3 pound roast, 4 hour for a 4-5 pound roast. Roast is ready when it is fall apart tender.
