1 Lb. Shrimp, peeled, cooked, coarsely chopped
1 Red onion
1/4 Cup Dill, finely chopped
1/4 Cup of Lemon juice
3 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
3 Tbsp. Sour cream
Grated horseradish as desired (can be omitted)
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 loaf of soft bread
1 Tbsp. Butter
Dill as needed for garnish
1/2 Lemon

Directions:

Add shrimps, red onion, dill, mayonnaise, sour cream and lemon juice to a large mixing bowl and mix well.

Add grated horseradish and salt & pepper to the mixture to taste. Chill while continuing to the next step.

Place soft bread on a clean work surface, Cut out into rounds.

Add butter to a clean frying pan and heat to medium-high heat

Transfer bread to frying pan, fry each side until golden brown, transfer to serving plate.

Take shrimp mixture and spread evenly to one side of each slice of toast.

Garnish with dill and lemon and serve.

When Lisa and I went to Stockholm, our hotel served these and we found them to be delicious! This is a slight variation because to make them perfect you really need Swedish ingredients!
