4 eggs
2 1/2 cups sugar
4 cups Half & Half
6 cups Whole or 2% milk
3 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt

2 bags of ice
Rock salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs until light, add sugar gradually, keep beating until thick. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Freeze in an ice cream freezer using the ice and rock salt. Makes 1 gallon. (Recipe can be cut in half)

This ice cream was made in an old hand cranked ice cream freezer before my Grandma and Grandpa Smith upgraded to an electric freezer. We had this a few times a year at Smith family get togethers.
