Oven @ 225º
parchment-lined cookie sheet

4 lg egg whites (room temp)
½ tsp cream of tartar
⅛ tsp salt
1 c granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggwhites, cm f tartar, salt; mix low til foamy.
Increase speed to high; gradually add sugar to dissolve.
Beat til thick, shiny, increased in volume, w/stiff peaks.
Stir in vanilla & opt food coloring.

Using lg piping bag & lg tip, pipe onto cookie sheet.
Cookies will not spread; bake all cookies at once.

Bake 1 hour. Turn off heat, cool INSIDE the oven.
(1-2 hrs). Should be crisp.
Store in airtight container, no heat or moisture.
