Uncooked rice (white, brown, jasmin)

Add uncooked rice to the bottom of a rice cooker or sauce pan.
Put your finger on the top of rice and add water to the rice until it is level to the first knuckle of your finger.


Click the rice cooker on

OR

on a stove: turn the burner on med high and boil until little craters appear all around the rice. Don't overcook or the bottom will burn.

After eating what you want...put the rest of the rice into a storage container.

Put the pan in the sink, filling with water, as the rice pan will need to soak, making cleanup is easier.

I'd recommend making more than enough for one meal and putting the left over in the fridge. It can be eaten by itself or put into other dishes for a quick meal.
