1lb ground beef
2 onions, chopped
80 ounce red kidney beans (2 40oz cans)
28 ounce can diced tomatoes
15 ounce can tomato sauce
2 Tbsp chili powder (or more to taste)
1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
salt to taste
2 cloves chopped garlic if desired

Directions:
Directions:
In stock pot, brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Discard excess fat. Add rest of ingredients and simmer for 1/2 hour or more until done.

Makes a large batch and excess may be frozen.
Serve with crackers and salad.
Chili powder varies in heat and flavor and may require more than two tablespoons.
